GoHomeCost (gohomecost.com) publishes free home improvement cost calculators and cost guides for planning purposes.
What we collect
Our calculators run in your browser. You do not need an account, and you do not need to provide personal details to calculate an estimate.
If you voluntarily submit the optional quote-request form, we collect the information shown in that form: name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, optional street address, property type, project timing, project type, estimated dimensions or size, estimated cost range, and the page where the request was submitted.
We do not have comments, user accounts, or user uploads on this website.
How quote-request information is used
Submitted quote requests are stored in the GoHomeCost WordPress database and emailed to the site’s administrator so the request can be reviewed. Submitting the GoHomeCost form does not guarantee that any contractor will receive it, accept it, or respond.
After a successful submission, the site may display a link to an independent referral service such as Networx. GoHomeCost does not automatically send your form contact details through that link. You may need to enter information separately on the provider’s website, which is governed by its own privacy policy and terms.
GoHomeCost may receive compensation when a visitor uses a referral link. This does not change the calculator estimate.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical logs, which can include IP address, browser type, request time, and pages visited, for security and performance. We do not add the visitor’s IP address to the GoHomeCost quote-request record.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The website may use functional cookies and server-side caching to load pages faster. These do not track you across other websites.
Links to other websites
Our cost guides link to public pricing sources, such as supplier price sheets and industry cost references. Those websites have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
Analytics
We may use aggregated, non-personal statistics (such as page views) to understand which tools are useful. This data cannot identify you personally.
Your rights
You may ask whether GoHomeCost holds a quote request connected to you and request correction or deletion by emailing us. We may ask for enough information to identify the record and protect it from unauthorized access. Rights and response requirements can vary by location.
